maintenance & improvements
Well, excellent!
Our wellwater is guaranteed safe, free from bacteria and viruses, since instalment of an Ultra-Violet water purifier this spring. |
We have our own well. The water first is dust filtered, then by osmoses filtered from too much manganese and iron, then in a holding tank; and a fine dust filter before being Ultra-Violet purified and then going to the taps, showers and cisterns. Our water is from an aquifer, some 30 meters deep. No chemicals are added at any stage. It is at least as good as any mineral water that can be bought in the store. |

Rebuilding the wall
Unwanted inhabitants; pests
In Spring 24 we found in one outside wall of the Workshop every timber upright and the horizontal supporting beam those were resting on, to be infected with, and mostly eaten by, ants. Some a little eaten by these termites from the ground up, others were hollowed out up to a metre high. |
First concrete filled the hollows and replaced the horizontal beam, and reinforce concreted the foundation for the upright metal supports and eventual plaster. |
Accrows, supporting props, were put inside to keep the roof up, whilst the infected parts of uprights were replaced one by one. |
Over the dampproof, high rib in preparation to plastering to keep the termite ants out for good. |
In the course of the year, whenever weather and events allowed, the undercoat plastering, one or two metres at a time. |

Finishing touch, concrete planter along the entire front façade |

After well over a year’s diligent work: Finished! |
